I recently had the opportunity to meet Betsy Lowery the owner of Little You, Inc. I was impressed by what Little You, Inc. offers and by the structure and layout of their facility. Little You, Inc. is located at 3652 W. 111th St., Chicago, IL  60655 in the Mt. Greenwood neighborhood, across the street from Mt. Greenwood Park. 

In 2007, Betsy Lowery started Little You, Inc. building a practice based on exceptional quality, high performance, and unwavering integrity, standards essential in developing the practice into an industry leader with a reputation for outstanding work. Little You, Inc. has grown from a smaller practice with only one Speech Therapist, to currently employing nine Speech, Occupational, and Developmental Therapists, as well as support staff.  Their experience, clinical knowledge, and capability produce results from even the most challenging cases.

Little You, Inc. therapists provide individual and group therapy services maintaining focus on improving language, motor, and pragmatic (social) skills.  Most of the sessions are play-based however do incorporate various amounts of structure to produce the results needed.

Little You, Inc. employs skilled and seasoned therapists who specialize in all the above areas.  Staff members regularly attend continuing education conferences to increase their knowledge on their core areas of expertise.

Little You, Inc. are a credentialed provider for the Illinois Early Intervention program, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois PPO and Blue Choice, and the Illinois Medicaid program.

While visiting with Betsy, I was given a tour of their therapeutic facilities. I immediately took note of a subtle charm and warm atmosphere.  The facility is carefully laid out to enhance the experience for both child and parent. I was very excited to see their most recent addition to their facility, “The Gym”, a sorely needed service for this neck of the woods.

"The Gym" is set up with state of the art equipment and offers community based classes and open gym time.  “In our experience, kids are happiest and more communicative when they are playing, running, jumping, and just having fun!” My own experience working with children and families for over 10 years is that this is very true. This type of environment seems to take the force out of therapeutic sessions with what children may feel are “demands” and lessens resistance. Essentially this produces better results.

Betsy Lowery is the owner of Little You Inc.  She grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and attended the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana for her undergraduate studies, and she attended Governor's State University for graduate school.  She is a certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, and has been in practice for 15 years.  Betsy provides home visits for Early Intervention; office visits for school aged children, and provides group therapy on Saturdays. I have a sincere appreciation for Betsy’s passion in creating an invaluable resource for the community and surrounding areas.
