As parents we
always want heal that skinned knee, it is not just an idealistic
tendency for autism, it is for some "war". My own crusade is
for my son to be as successful as he can be. The past year I made so
many phone calls for services my neck ached.
There is no single treatment for issues our children face. In some cases what works for one does not always work for another. I know this is frustrating just hearing it. There are many who believe that autism is treatable, some curable and others who feel that those treatments do nothing for their children or older family members. No judgment of parents and their choices is made here. I have been disappointed to see that happening in and around the forums out here in cyberspace. We may have an understanding of other parents situations but we do not walk in their shoes, or live in their home or know their supports and financial positions. So what I present here I try to present in a comprehensive manner. If there is information you feel will benefit parents - SEND IT IN! Please note this is not the area to advertise products, but to offer articles and personal stories relating to what has helped. If you have a product you want to advertise or offer to our readers please visit our advertising page for more information. Please Seek professional assistance when considering any treatment or program for your child. By presenting the information and links to various programs HOPE MAGAZINE ONLINE does not endorse or make any recommendations. Choosing a program or treatment is your own choice and should be carefully considered. After working with children and families for over 10 years, it is essential to understand that each situation or condition is unique. I am providing this list so that you can read about various topics. ![]() Please Seek professional assistance when considering any treatment or program for your child.
